Masks are one of the oldest methods used for skin care. Regular usage of masks help in circulation, removing tan and wrinkles. They brighten up the skin, make you glow and leave the skin smooth. Applying a mask helps in relaxing and de-stressing in today’s hectic life. While, there are plenty of masks available in the market and you can also visit salons, but we would like to share 3 tried and tested home made masks that are pocket-friendly and the ingredients are available right in your kitchen:
1 Oatmeal mask: There are 2 ways of making this mask. First one is quick & easy; just mix one tablespoom of finely ground oatmeal and milk, with a few drops of almond oil. Apply and leave it for 15 minutes. Then wipe off with damp cotton.
Second mask can be made with 2 tablespoon dried orange peel, 2 teaspoon oatmeal and 2 tablespoon cold cream. This helps the skin brighten up and gives that extra shine.
4 2. Potato Mask: First, start by grating a medium size potato. Now, take a muslin cloth and wrap the grated potato in it. Take a small container and squeeze out the juice. Add 1 tablespoon multani matti (fuller’s earth) and mix well. Apply this mixture and keep it for 15-20 minutes. Since Potato contains vitamin c, it will clean the skin and minimize blemishes & sunburn. Multani matti will absorb all the dirt and grease from the skin caused due to stress and pollution, making you look fresh & radiant.
5 Paw Paw Mask: Mash or blend 2 tablespoon of ripe papaya flesh until it is lump free. Add 1 tsp honey and lemon juice and spread over clean face. Keep for 15-20 mins. Too remove this mask, wash your face with warm water first and then splash cold water on your face. Continue this routine for 15 days, and you will see remarkable glow in your skin. This mask is helps in treating acne and lightening the skin.
